As an exercise in applying the Min Basadur’s Simplex System we, as a class, were tasked with solving an unframed problem. From the Applied Creativity website “The Simplex System is a method of applied creativity that interconnects a process of creative problem solving with skills and tools to make that process work”. You can find more information here.

The problem my team addressed was, “How might we effectively encourage tolerance of social and cultural differences among high school students in Indianapolis?” We defined the problem, conducted research, consulted with experts, developed a solution, prototyped, refined, and finally implemented the solution. The solution was titled Real Talk and consisted of a three-part event and curriculum utilizing the power of sharing.
