As an introduction to the basic ethnographic methods of observation and user-generated information as they relate to the design of a service, each student was asked to choose a consumer-facing business, research the context of the business, and gain insights on how to better their service using ethnographic techniques.

I chose Cognizant Coffee House located in the historic Fountain Square Cultural District in Indianapolis. Cognizant is a new business and currently positions itself as a coffee house and
artist gallery.
